HUMAN RESOURCES PLANT MANAGER – LYONS, GEORGIA
LOCATION: LYONS, GA
DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES
The HR Plant Manager will ensure COSI Georgia Canning is knowledgeable, committed and in compliance with all federal, state and internal requirements related to personnel, employee relations, compensation, training, employment development, and organizational management. Establish goals and objectives of the HR department as well as the policies and procedures for the Georgia Canning to meet its objectives. Provide a safe, secure workplace for all in keeping with the compliance of applicable federal and local requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage Company’s organization structure’s manning so that it is current, consistent and responsive to operating needs. Responsible for hiring/terming people for various posts in the company, including Temporary staffing needs, permanent employees, administration support staff and Management.
· Protect company employees and assets through security policies, procedures & guards/security services, including CT-Pat of truck traffic/routing.
· Provide, review, document & maintain employee’s compensation and benefits/insurance.
· Ensure Company’s management and employees are informed, trained and in compliance with internal policies/procedures relevant to work practices/regulations including EEO.
· Maintain company’s environment is free of harassment, discrimination, hostility and employees are provided the most harmonious, consistent, productive workplace possible in compliance with legal requirements and fair employment practices and Company has a trained and committed management force.
· Oversee fair, consistent, cost-effective employee development, employee relations and community relations programs.
· Responsible for successfully/fairly resolving employee problems and creating positive opportunities.
· Development/monitor of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention, attendance and development and high performance.
· Develop, update and monitor job codes/grades to ensure costing is accurately captured on payroll accounts.
· Oversee break areas including hiring of venders & scheduling equipment maintenance.
· Maintain state sanctioned Drug Free Workplace program including monthly news bulletins, training & coordination of random testing.
· Continue to support the Great Promise Partnership (GPP) with local schools to help create a workforce for tomorrow.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Undergraduate degree
•5+ years of general Human Resources experience at corporate level with supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements, OSHA, FLSA, AAP, EEO, OFCCP, ERISA, Immigration, FMLA, ADA, BRC, etc.
• Skilled in employee training/development
