    The Role

    We are seeking a Chief Credit Officer to oversee and scale Percent's fast growing private credit asset management business. Percent specializes in asset-based lending, with a core focus on middle market lender finance leveraging all of Percent's proprietary technology platform. Today, the firm oversees approximately $350 million and is ripe for multi billion scale. Percent has built a vertically integrated origination, underwriting, portfolio management, syndication, servicing and investor relations operation, with a global team stretching across North and South America. .

    The ideal candidate is a senior credit investment, portfolio management or debt capital markets professional with 15+ years of experience in structured credit, asset-based finance, institutional lending, or adjacent areas and who brings deep expertise managing complex financing activities across lower middle and middle market specialty finance.

    As a senior leader of Percent's asset management business, you will report directly to the CEO of Percent while collaborating with members of the leadership team for cross-functional expertise to drive disciplined growth, institutionalize key operating processes, and ensure Percent continues to deliver best-in-class execution for all asset management clients.     Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all credit-related activities throughout an entire deal life cycle from origination, underwriting, syndication, portfolio management and servicing. activities
    • Direct management of the underwriting and portfolio management team based primarily in New York and Buenos Aires.
    • Chair our credit committee and guide rigorous underwriting, documentation and ongoing performance monitoring standards.
    • Responsibly scale assets under administration by playing a key role in managing the deal pipeline with capital deployment while maintaining our industry leading 7+ year performance track record in lender finance.Refine credit underwriting methodologies, risk management frameworks, credit approval policies and procedures, and ongoing portfolio management processes according to industry best practices. Lead all existing and future deal work-out efforts to maximize recoveries
    • Guide the syndication team with asset allocation decisions to match capital with appropriate deal flow
    • Partner with our originations team to provide guidance and credit views on new sub asset classes or deal structures
    • Support our institutional sales team's efforts to build relationships with key capital partners and investors
    • Grow and deepen senior-level relationships across the private credit ecosystem
    • Represent Percent externally as a senior market-facing leader with credibility and conviction
    • Provide strategic and macro economic views on favorable sub-asset classes of lender finance
    • Partner with compliance to ensure alignment with FINRA regulations and all supervisory requirements.
    • Mentor and develop team leads while strengthening cross-functional coordination with product, operations, enterprise software sales and data analytics teams.
    • Drive continuous improvement across workflows, internal and external reporting, and governance infrastructure.

    Key Qualifications:

    • 15+ years of asset management, capital markets or private credit investing experience across structured credit, asset-based finance, direct lending, or related disciplines, particularly in lower middle or middle market with sub $100m transaction sizes.
    • Proven track record leading asset management, capital markets, origination, syndication, or structured credit teams within a high-growth environment.
    • Demonstrated experience constructing, managing, and optimizing private credit portfolios and deal pipelines balancing both commercial and risk considerations.
    • Demonstrated experience leading credit committees and complex underwriting processes.
    • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex legal documentation to affect bespoke structured credit transactions at scale.
    • Comfortable building and maintaining relationships with institutional capital partners as well as wealth management channels.
    • Experience sourcing and negotiating bespoke credit facilities and financing structures.
    • Experience in restructuring and handling work outs of debt facilities.
    • Excellent communication and executive presence with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
    • Operationally disciplined with experience institutionalizing processes and scaling infrastructure.
    • Analytically rigorous, commercially driven, and detail-oriented.
    • Entrepreneurial and highly motivated, with a strong commitment to execution and excellence.
    • Solid understanding of FINRA-regulated environments; Series 24, 7, 63, and 79 required (or willingness to obtain immediately).

    The pay range for this role is $250,000 - 350,000 per year OTE dependent on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications.
