    Job Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chief Engineer to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of our hotel. The Chief Engineer will ensure the effective management of all engineering-related activities, including the maintenance of the building structure, systems, and grounds. This role is crucial in providing a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for our guests and staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership & Management:
    - Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance standards.
    - Develop and implement engineering policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and safety.

    Maintenance Management:
    - Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all hotel facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
    - Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
    - Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assets.

    Budget & Financial Management:
    - Prepare and manage the engineering department budget, ensuring cost-effective management of resources and effective utilization of materials and equipment.
    - Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for maintenance services, equipment purchases, and repairs.

    Safety & Compliance:
    - Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building codes, safety, and environmental standards.
    - Implement safety training and emergency response procedures for engineering staff.

    Project Management:
    - Oversee renovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    - Collaborate with other departments to support customer service initiatives through effective engineering solutions.

    Guest & Staff Relations:
    - Respond promptly to guest complaints and maintenance requests, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
    - Foster a culture of teamwork and communication within the engineering department and with other hotel departments.

    Qualifications

    Education:
    - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facility management, or a related field.
    - Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), LEED certification, HVAC) are a plus.

    Experience:
    - Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a facility management or engineering role within the hotel or hospitality industry.
    - Proven experience in managing engineering teams and overseeing complex projects.

    Skills:
    - Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance operations.
    - Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    - Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
