    The Iron Horse Hotel Milwaukee is hiring a Chief Engineer. The hotel's Chief Engineer leads the property's maintenance and engineering, ensuring all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators) and equipment function safely and efficiently, managing a team, handling budgets, and overseeing repairs and preventative care to guarantee guest comfort and operational success, often acting as the "behind-the-scenes" magic for a seamless stay. Responsibilities: • Oversees all technical aspects, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pools, and refrigeration. • Manages preventive maintenance programs, emergency repairs, and upkeep of guest rooms and facilities. • Hires, trains, schedules, and supervises maintenance staff and external contractors. • Controls departmental budgets, tracks inventory, and ensures adherence to safety codes and regulations. • Focuses on ensuring a comfortable, safe, and uninterrupted guest experience by resolving technical issues quickly. Essential Skills: • Strong technical knowledge across multiple trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.). • Leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs. Qualifications: • Prior hotel or similar facility engineering leadership experience. • Strong knowledge of MEP.
