    Location: Remote (Pennsylvania-based preferred); statewide travel required

    Insight PA Cyber Charter School places substantial importance on residency in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or reasonable proximity to the Commonwealth, for its employees. Such residency requirements are necessary for the effective management and operation of the school as a statewide cyber charter school and our work with our students, families, and each other.     The Opportunity

    Insight PA is seeking a visionary, ethical, and community-centered CEO to lead the school through a critical period of transition and growth. Following statewide funding reductions and organizational changes, the CEO will restore stability, strengthen culture, champion equity, and drive academic excellence. This is a role for a leader with strategic capacity, deep empathy, operational sophistication, and comfort engaging with stakeholders across PA.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic & Academic Leadership – Advance Insight PA's mission, improve academic outcomes, and increase live-session attendance through equitable, student-centered strategies.
    • Culture, Morale & Organizational Health – Strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and lead a remote workforce with clarity and steadiness.
    • Community, Family & Statewide Engagement – Serve as the public face of the school, building relationships with families, partners, and legislators across Pennsylvania.
    • Financial & Operational Stewardship – Manage a $42M budget with discipline; use data to inform decisions; uphold compliance and mitigate risk.
    • Human Capital Leadership – Develop leaders, ensure fair HR practices, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
    • Board Relations – Maintain transparent, proactive communication with the Board, support governance processes.

    Professional Qualifications

    ****Required:

    • Senior leadership experience in education, public sector, or mission-driven organizations.
    • Experience leading through change and stabilizing culture.
    • Strong financial acumen and data-informed decision-making.
    • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Demonstrated commitment to equity and access.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in virtual or cyber-based education.
    • Background as an educator or leader in K–12 systems.
    • Pennsylvania Superintendent, Principal, or other relevant educational leadership certification.
    • Experience supervising remote teams.
    • Experience working with diverse populations.

    (Note: Certification is preferred, not required.)
