    Elderberry Health is a rapidly growing Healthcare Services Organization based in Ashland City, Tennessee , providing primary care, women's health, and chronic care management. As we expand our clinical footprint and operational scope, we are building the financial and data infrastructure to support sustained growth, capital partnerships, and strong operating margins.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team on a part-time basis. The CFO will be responsible for driving financial growth, managing capital and debt funding, optimizing EBITDA performance, and developing data-driven management tools.

    The ideal candidate will have deep private equity and healthcare finance experience , a proven ability to secure and manage funding, and a track record of building high-impact KPI dashboards and performance analytics that support executive decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Growth & Capital Planning

    -Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with clinic expansion and new service lines.

    -Lead modeling and valuation work for new clinics, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships.

    -Prepare and present financial materials for investors, lenders, and private equity partners.

    -Oversee transaction planning, diligence, and capital structuring.

    Capital & Debt Management

    • Design and manage the organization's capital structure , including bank financing, credit facilities, and private placements.

    • Evaluate optimal mix of equity and debt financing to fuel expansion.

    • Negotiate loan terms and manage lender relationships.

    • Oversee cash flow, leverage ratios, and liquidity forecasting.

    Financial Oversight & Performance Management

    • Drive improvements in profitability, margin, and operational efficiency.

    • Develop and manage KPIs related to revenue, cost per encounter, payer mix, AR performance, and cash conversion cycles.

    • Build executive dashboards and reporting systems to visualize financial health and track trends in real time.

    • Establish financial controls and implement scalable systems to support growth.

    Governance, Reporting & Compliance

    • Ensure full compliance with CMS, TennCare, KY Medicaid and Rural Health Clinic (RHC) financial regulations.

    • Oversee audits, tax filings, and cost reports in partnership with accounting teams.

    • Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board of Directors.

    • Support long-term planning and risk management initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred).

    • 10+ years of senior financial leadership, ideally within healthcare or multi-site service organizations.

    • Proven success in raising and managing capital and debt for growth-stage businesses.

    • Demonstrated results in EBITDA improvement, KPI-driven management, and dashboard implementation.

    • Experience working with private equity, venture-backed, and or investor-supported organizations.

    • Advanced modeling, forecasting, and presentation skills.

    • Part-time: Approximately 8-16 hours per week (flexible schedule).

    • Hybrid/Remote: Regular collaboration with leadership in Ashland City.
