We are seeking a strategic, mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This executive will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the long-term financial stability, transparency, and operational excellence of a non-profit organization.
The CFO will oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, accounting, treasury, procurement, grants management, financial reporting, and long-range financial planning. This role serves as a key advisor to senior leadership and governing bodies, balancing fiscal stewardship with equity and outcomes.

Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience
- At least 5–7 years in a senior executive role (CFO, Deputy CFO, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience overseeing large, complex budgets (e.g., $1B+ preferred)
- Proven track record in financial planning, audit management, and compliance
- Experience presenting to boards, governing bodies, or public officials
- Lead enterprise-wide financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting
- Oversee multi-billion-dollar operating and capital budgets
- Ensure compliance with public finance, audit, and reporting standards
- Advise executive leadership on financial risks, opportunities, and sustainability
- Manage and develop senior finance leaders and cross-functional teams
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including government entities
Experience Preferences:
- Experience in public sector, education, government, or nonprofit organizations
- Familiarity with public finance regulations, bond financing, and grants management
- Experience leading finance in unionized or highly regulated environments
- Background showing commitment to equity, transparency, and public accountability
- Experience managing change in large, matrixed organizations

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field/equivalent work experience.
