AI Startup Seeks Financial Partner/Backer/Fundraiser

Greetings. My student intern team and I are working on a project called “THE LATEST,” or TheLatest.com.

TheLatest.com is working in cooperation with our nonprofit, OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION (OurNationalConversation.org).

We are seeking someone willing to raise money for our nonprofit, OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION. But that's not the key message today.

We ALSO seek a financially astute and plugged-in fundraiser to help us with our for-profit company, TheLatest.com, Inc.

“THE LATEST” is a great brand name because it’s so versatile:

• EVERYONE wants to know the latest ;
• In today’s attention economy, everyone wants to BE the latest ;
• Marketers all want their goods and services to be PERCEIVED as the latest ;
• And if someone asks you, “Heard the latest?” right away, you want to know what it is.

We have a very specific idea for what we want to do with this URL. There is an AI angle to our concept. We seek someone – or a small team – to invest in our concept or help us raise money.

We will of course share the idea when we get to that point. But let’s not become totally fixated on this “one big idea.” We think our idea is good, but we want to build a concept that’s very flexible, so as the AI world evolves, TheLatest.com can evolve with it. We also own the domain name, TheLatest.ai.

We don’t want to say too much more at this point. But we look forward to an action-packed discussion in which we will go deep on all this.

There is no pay at this time; if you are a student, you will be doing this for the learning experience. If you are already established in your finance/venture capital/investor/private equity career, we’re of course open to putting together a deal that’s fair to all (including our student interns). We are definitely willing to pay success fees for monies raised (either for TheLatest.com, Inc. or OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION).

In addition to our student tech team, we have student content teams, marketing teams and administrative teams working on this, also.

• Your background, particularly as it might pertain to an AI startup;
• A few examples of deals you’ve done or campaigns you've worked on;
• Any contacts you have in the finance world you think might be interested;
• A statement telling us why “you’re the one.”

Qualifications

Experience raising money in either the for-profit or nonprofit worlds (or both).
