We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chief Marketing Officer to lead the marketing strategy for a new mobile app. This is a founding leadership role focused on building brand awareness, growing social media audiences, and driving user acquisition from the ground up. The position is compensated entirely through equity ownership in the company.
The CMO will play a key role in shaping the brand, developing growth strategies, and executing marketing campaigns that build a strong and engaged user community.
Compensation Structure
This is an equity-only position. The selected candidate will receive a percentage of company ownership in place of a salary. Equity participation will continue as long as the individual remains actively employed in the role and contributing to the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy for the mobile app
Build, manage, and scale social media channels across major platforms
Grow follower base, engagement, and brand awareness
Plan and oversee digital marketing campaigns, including organic and paid strategies
Develop brand voice, messaging, and positioning
Analyze performance metrics and optimize marketing initiatives for growth
Lead community-building efforts and audience engagement
Collaborate with founders and product teams to align marketing with product development and user feedback
Identify partnership, influencer, and promotional opportunities
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience managing and growing social media platforms
Proven track record of significantly increasing followers and engagement across social channels
Experience leading marketing strategy for startups, mobile apps, or digital products preferred
Strong understanding of growth marketing, brand development, and digital marketing analytics
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work in an early-stage startup environment
Ability to work independently and take ownership of marketing initiatives
