Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 annually (Based on experience)

Position Overview:
The Chief Mechanical Estimator leads the full mechanical/MEP estimating function, overseeing strategic bid development, department leadership, and enterprise-level preconstruction planning.
This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive profitability, competitiveness, and operational excellence across large-scale mechanical projects.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead the estimating department, including staffing, training, development, performance management, and workload oversight.
Own enterprise preconstruction strategy, including bid strategy, competitive positioning, margin control, and risk management.
Direct high-level estimating for mechanical/MEP systems on large commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects.
Represent estimating at the executive level, participating in strategic planning, forecasting, and operational alignment.
Build, implement, and oversee estimating workflows, processes, systems, templates, and QA/QC standards. - Collaborate with Business Development to support proposals, presentations, and client communications.
Ensure accurate cost modeling, conceptual estimates, and multi-discipline coordination for complex mechanical scopes.
Required Qualifications:
Technical college degree OR Journeyman plumber/pipefitter experience in place of a degree
At least 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access), Quikpen, and AutoCAD
Strong collaboration skills and familiarity with construction management processes
Preferred Qualifications:
PE license or equivalent mechanical expertise.
Background in HVAC, plumbing, piping, and controls.
Experience with design-build or complex mechanical construction environments.
