Are you an experienced Chief Operating Officer? We are looking for an executive-level operating officer to work collaboratively with the owner of a growing and energetic law firm. The Chief Operating Officer’s (COO) position is an executive-level position with broad responsibilities for the management of the Law Firm's business operations; the COO assists the Owner with leadership responsibilities. The position has a wide range of responsibilities, with involvement in all seven parts of the firm. The COO is especially focused on growth, profitability, and culture. The COO works closely with the Owner and the rest of the executive team on strategy, policy, problem-solving, and decision-making. Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of this position include: • Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the firm. • Ensure smooth workflow. • Managing the firm's budgets, billing, and financial systems. • Preparing and presenting reports to the partner. • Implementing and managing technological systems to streamline operations. • Handling human resources tasks such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. • Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. • Developing and implementing firm policies and procedures. • Overseeing facility management and security. • Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts. • Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures aimed at boosting efficiency and productivity within the firm. • Analyze financial data and compile reports for senior management to facilitate informed decision-making processes. • Work closely with various departments to streamline processes and enhance cross-functional communication channels. • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to pinpoint areas for enhancement and promote operational excellence. Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • Strong leadership skills and willingness to function as a role model within the office. • Knowledge of human resources policies, practices, and legal requirements. • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to organize oneself and others. • Ability to establish effective working relationships within the department, office, and firm. • Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and others outside the firm. Compensation: $175,000 + performance based bonuses
