    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Chief Strategy Officer will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO, CFO, PE Owners and Executive leadership team during a critical period for the company. This role will lead and support strategic initiatives related to transaction preparation, corporate positioning, M&A activities, and external relations.

    This individual will represent both the company and its PE owners in engagement with potential buyers, advisors, and external stakeholders. The role requires a combination of strategic thinking, financial understanding, operational credibility, and hands on execution capability.

    This role is expected to remain highly active through the completion of a future transaction process.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Partner directly with the CEO on strategic initiatives, transaction preparation, and corporate development activities.
    • Represent the company and PE owners in discussions with potential buyers, investment banks, advisors, and external stakeholders.
    • Help shape, refine, and communicate the company story, positioning, and value proposition to external audiences (e.g. company website)
    • Develop high quality executive presentations, strategic materials, and transaction related content.
    • Support the CFO in strengthening financial reporting, financial systems, and operational processes to improve transaction readiness.
    • Lead and support M&A related activities, including evaluations, diligence coordination, integration planning, and strategic assessments.
    • Provide strategic insight and hands on execution support across high priority business initiatives
    • Support management preparation for board, investor, and strategic review discussions
    • Travel extensively across the company’s global sites, including meaningful time in Asia, to develop a strong understanding of the company’s operations, technologies, manufacturing capabilities, customer base, and organizational connectivity.
    • Supervisory Responsibility: Lead the Director of M&A and Corporate Development (existing M&A Director to report into this role.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or related leadership roles.
    • Experience operating in complex global organizations, preferably within medical device, manufacturing.
    • Experience supporting strategic transactions, ownership transitions, and M&A processes i.e. sizeable “Exit experience” $2B+
    • Strong financial and business acumen with ability to work closely with finance leadership
    • Proven ability to develop compelling strategic narratives and executive level communication materials
    • Strong executive presence and credibility with investors, advisors, and senior stakeholders
    • Highly execution oriented with willingness to work hands on across strategic and operational topics
    • Ability and willingness to travel internationally, including extended time in Asia as needed
    • Ability to work in fast paced and evolving environments
