What You’ll Do:
- Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the hotel’s physical structure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, pool, whirlpool, and related equipment
- Assign, supervise, and verify completion of maintenance, repair, and renovation projects across guest areas, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and grounds
- Hire, train, and manage department staff, including coaching and performance management
- Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies, budgets, and contractor schedules
- Maintain preventive maintenance and energy management programs, providing training to other departments on safe and efficient equipment use
- Keep accurate reports, correspondence, and documentation for all departmental activities
- Maintain inventory, tools, and equipment in an organized and accessible manner
- Be immediately available for emergencies, including power failures, floods, fires, or other critical situations
- Coordinate special projects, guest requests, and event-related modifications as needed
Who You Are
- Experienced, resourceful, and hands-on leader with knowledge of building systems, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC operations
- Reliable, professional, and flexible to work varying schedules and holidays
- Physically capable of standing/walking for long periods, lifting up to 100 pounds, and working in confined or awkward spaces
- Safety-minded and committed to maintaining compliance with all hotel rules and regulations
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and extreme temperatures
