    Position Summary

    The Chief of Staff / General Manager will act as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, serving as a force multiplier to accelerate business growth. This role combines high-level planning with hands-on execution and offers a direct, measurable impact on organizational success.     Key Responsibilities

    Strategic & Operational Leadership

    • Partner with the CEO and COO to drive strategic initiatives, including facility expansion, market growth, and customer experience improvements.

    • Lead weekly leadership meetings and company-wide communications; track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones.

    • Serve as a cross-functional liaison between sales, engineering, lab operations, and customer accounts.

    • Own internal project planning and resource allocation for major customer-facing and operational initiatives.

    Customer & Account Management

    • Oversee account managers and customer relationships to ensure high levels of service and communication.

    • Act as a bridge between technical lab teams and external stakeholders to align objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

    • Collaborate with technical and sales teams to manage the lifecycle of custom packaging solutions and development plans.

    Vendor, Inventory & Process Management

    • Manage vendor relationships and oversee supply chain logistics, procurement, and inventory control.

    • Work with engineering and operations teams to optimize inventory systems; experience with digital inventory platforms is a plus.

    • Review contracts with customers, vendors, and partners; coordinate with external legal counsel to ensure alignment with business goals and mitigate risk.

    Administrative & Financial Oversight

    • Manage core internal operations including payroll, insurance audits, retirement plans, and HR coordination with third-party providers (some functions may be outsourced).

    • Oversee financial functions such as budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and reporting in collaboration with external CPA and finance advisors.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is essential.
