GCHS is looking for a fun-loving Childcare Helper for the kiddos at LittleDocs daycare.
Works under the direction of the Childcare Director to care for children in the group home daycare. Provides hands-on childcare, assists with activity planning, etc., to ensure that the children receive quality care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Leads age-appropriate daily activities for the children to enhance their socialization and educational learning. Maintains patience to deal with a variety of children of different ages and personalities. Understands proper care standards for infants, toddlers, and older children and takes appropriate care of different childcare needs, including toileting, diapering, cleanliness, routines, naptime, playtime, age-appropriate activities, behaviors, disciplinary needs, food and nutrition, etc. Follow all Childcare facility policies, including safety, disciplinary, etc., to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Handles problem behaviors or disruptions to the environment with patience and calmness, and addresses problem behaviors proactively, according to the facility’s protocols. Maintains necessary education for a certified daycare provider through KDHE. Monitors children at all times, ensuring a safe environment. Carries out age-appropriate daily activities for the children to enhance their socialization and educational learning, and approaches activities and day-planning with positivity and creativity. Is self-motivated to focus on continual improvement efforts.
