Title: Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher — Closing Shift (Part-Time) Location: Children’s Lighthouse of Chantilly — Early Learning School (Chantilly, VA) Schedule: Late afternoons/evenings (closing shift). Exact hours set at hire. Experience Required: Prior infant/toddler childcare experience is mandatory.

Role Summary We’re hiring a dependable Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to support end-of-day routines, maintain a calm classroom during pickups, and help close down the room with strong sanitation and organization.

Key Responsibilities

Support late-day routines: snack, diapering, cleanup, calming activities

Active supervision through pickups; professional family communication at the door

End-of-day sanitation and reset: toys/materials, diaper area, surfaces, classroom readiness

Confirm daily notes are accurate (diapers, meals, naps) and communicate handoffs to leadership

Substitute backup: available for occasional additional coverage when needed (with notice)

Must-Haves

Infant/toddler childcare experience (licensed setting preferred)

Strong follow-through: you finish the shift clean, organized, and calm

Consistent supervision + safe closing practices
