Child Care Teacher – The Learning Experience River Vale

Location: River Vale, NJ Pay: $17 per hour Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience – River Vale is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Child Care Teacher to support our preschool classrooms. Our center offers a warm, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment where young children learn through hands-on activities, guided play, and early foundational skills.

If you enjoy working with toddlers and preschoolers in a structured, supportive childcare setting, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to grow within early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

Create a safe, child-centered environment that encourages learning and exploration.

Support daily routines including circle time, art, literacy activities, and sensory play.

Promote social-emotional development and help children build positive peer relationships.

Communicate with families about each child’s day, progress, and classroom experiences.

Maintain an organized, developmentally appropriate classroom that meets licensing standards.

Ensure full compliance with New Jersey childcare regulations and center policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience in a daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood setting preferred.

CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required.

Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).

CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Reliable, patient, and passionate about teaching young children.
