Position Title: Childcare Assistant/Float Location: The Goddard School of Corinth Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, Weekends Off)

Position Overview: We are seeking a flexible and energetic Childcare Assistant/Float to join our team! In this dynamic role, you will support various classrooms by providing care, supervision, and engaging activities for children of different ages. As a float, you must be adaptable and comfortable stepping into any classroom as needed, providing assistance to lead teachers or fully taking over the classroom in their absence. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with children of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support in multiple classrooms as needed, assisting teachers with daily activities, routines, and child supervision.
• Step in as the lead teacher when necessary, managing the classroom effectively, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Assist with lesson planning, preparing materials, and organizing activities appropriate for different age groups.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and co-workers, fostering a sense of community within the childcare center.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing standards and safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on child progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

Qualifications: *High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus.

• Experience working with children in a childcare setting, preferably across different age groups.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and age groups, maintaining a positive and engaging approach.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
