Location: The Learning Experience - Newark, DE Schedule: Monday – Friday Pay: $16 - $17 per hour

Role Responsibilities

Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet children’s dietary and developmental needs.

Track and manage food allergies for each child and clearly communicate with teachers daily.

Maintain food safety standards, including proper handling, sanitation, and storage.

Partner with Center Leadership to order food/supplies and maintain inventory records per state/local requirements.

Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward children, families, and staff.

Demonstrate flexibility to meet the daily needs of a busy childcare center.

📋 Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

1+ year of experience in food preparation/cooking (childcare, school, or institutional setting preferred).

Current food handling certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.

Passion for supporting the health and well-being of children.
