    Baldwin Early Learning Center is a mission of Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church. The pastors play an integral part in the religious education of the children in the center.

    Educational and Experience Required: The director must hold an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or a Bachelor's Degree in any field. The 90 clock hour certificate, or the CDA, or be approved by the Maryland State Department of Education as a teacher for Nursery- Grade 3 is also required. Additionally, 5 years of experience working with preschoolers in an approved setting, preferably with administrative experience. If certified to teach, one year of experience working with preschoolers is required.

    The director position is a salaried one, with the expectation that he/she will be onsite for approximately 40 hours per week. The director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center. These include, but are not limited to, maintaining MSDE and Office of Childcare Licensing standards, processing payroll, collecting tuition, preparing staff and children's schedules, holding monthly staff meetings, enrolling families for summer and school year sessions, and working with the staff, families, and children of the center on a daily basis.
