    Once Upon a Childcare is looking for an experienced Infant Teacher to join our team!

    Responsibilities:

    Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for Infants 2 months to 12 months of age

    Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children

    Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

    Encourage children to interact with each other

    Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through a carefully constructed curriculum (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc.).

    Track children's progress and report to parents

    Communicate regularly with parents to understand the children's backgrounds and psyches.

    Collaborate with other educators.

    Maintain a clean, tidy classroom in accordance with health and safety standards.

    Benefits:

    All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

    Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS credential system

    Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods

    Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

    Excellent communication and instructional skills

    Ability to act as a mediator between children

    Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

    Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
