About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Teacher – Part Time to support classrooms during afternoon and end-of-day routines. This role helps ensure a safe, organized, and nurturing environment for children while assisting teachers with daily activities, transitions, and classroom wrap-up procedures.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with young learners, is flexible, and thrives in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.

Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor activities, and transitions.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.

Support teachers in preparing materials and setting up activities.

Assist with closing procedures, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing classrooms for the next day.

Provide coverage and support where needed to ensure smooth end-of-day operations.

Collaborate with staff to maintain a positive and nurturing environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience working with young children or in a childcare setting preferred.

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Reliable, flexible, and able to assist in different classroom environments.

Patient, supportive, and attentive when working with children.

Preferred Skills

Experience in a childcare center, preschool, or daycare environment.

Understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning.

Ability to maintain structured routines and a calm environment.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
