About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and caring Childcare Teacher – Part-Time Closing to join our early childhood education team. This role provides afternoon and evening classroom support, helping ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while assisting with end-of-day routines.

The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team to help classrooms finish each day successfully.

Key Responsibilities

Support teachers with daily classroom activities and afternoon routines.

Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor play, and classroom transitions.

Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.

Assist with preparing and organizing classroom materials.

Support children with daily routines while providing positive guidance and encouragement.

Complete end-of-day classroom responsibilities, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing classrooms for the next day.

Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Work collaboratively with teachers and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience working with young children or in a childcare setting preferred.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Reliable, dependable, and able to work afternoon and evening hours.

Ability to adapt to the needs of the center and provide classroom support where needed.

Preferred Skills

Experience in a childcare center, daycare, or preschool setting.

Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
