    We are seeking dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic childcare professionals to support our engaging program of activities that promote each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development guided by the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach.

    About the Role

    As a Primrose Teacher, you will:

    Provide nurturing care and support for children, including their personal care and hygiene.

    Assess each child’s developmental needs on an ongoing basis.

    Plan and implement the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum, ensuring activities foster physical, social, and emotional growth.

    Prepare classrooms and materials, and lead all activities in a safe, organized, and fun environment.

    Create a positive classroom culture where children develop a lifelong love of learning.

    Maintain compliance with Primrose’s industry-leading Quality Assurance standards.

    We are an accredited private preschool serving children ages six weeks to six years. Our mission is to provide a year-round premier educational experience where children grow at their own pace in a nurturing, supportive environment led by professional teachers.

    Teacher Qualifications

    Passion for Early Childhood Education and ability to relate positively to young children.

    Meet Missouri DHSS Childcare Section requirements: 12 clock hours of state training and professional development.

    Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred; pursuing an ECE degree or certification is a plus.

    Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.

    Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and perform duties such as bending, squatting, sitting, and standing.

    Professional, dependable, and well-presented.

    Teacher Responsibilities

    Implement lesson plans and daily schedules.

    Supervise and guide a group of children with care and consistency.

    Support play, exploration, and learning through active interaction.

    Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues.

    Conduct conferences, evaluations, and maintain accurate assessments.

    Foster a positive teamwork environment through active participation in staff meetings and training.

    Design and maintain classroom arrangements that support developmental goals.

    Provide clear expectations, positive recognition, and age-appropriate guidance.

    Create weekly newsletters and maintain current bulletin boards.

    Assist with classroom, common areas, and playground upkeep.
