Childcare Teacher – Early Childhood Education Location: The Learning Experience – Clarkston, MI Pay: $16–$18 per hour Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Clarkston is seeking a caring and dependable Childcare Teacher to support classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. This role focuses on creating a safe, engaging environment where children build confidence, social skills, and early learning foundations through structured routines and hands-on experiences.

This position is ideal for educators who enjoy working with young children in a collaborative and supportive childcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily classroom routines and learning activities across age groups

Create a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment

Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning

Guide children through transitions including meals, rest time, and learning centers

Assist with classroom preparation and activity setup

Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members

Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Prior childcare experience preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable, nurturing, and professional approach

Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
