Children First Counseling Center has been helping children, adults, and families cope with and heal from family violence, abuse and neglect; loss and grief; and other causes of distress since 1977. Our mission to end the cycle of child abuse, interpersonal and family violence is carried out through counseling and education. We impact generations by providing hope and healing for all.

Children First Counseling Center strives to be a safe haven for clients, ages 3 and up, who live in Grand Prairie or nearby areas of Tarrant and Dallas counties.

WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING TO FILL (2) BILINGUAL COUNSELOR POSITIONS.

Remote work via telehealth is available, and ample space is available on-site for in-person sessions in our new, renovated Children First Counseling Center.

Qualifications:

• Bi-lingual (Spanish)
• Training in EMDR, CPT, directive and non-directive play therapy and/or TFCBT is preferred
• Training in EMDR is compensated
• Must have a Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or closely related field
• Must hold a valid license in the state of Texas- LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LPC-I or LMFT-A
• Must be available to work at least two weekdays 3 pm and later, and/or Saturdays
