ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
Perform a variety of job duties under the supervision of the Clinical Director
Recognize clinical updates and recommendations from the written order
Develop and direct the individualized treatment of clients collaboratively with consumers and families
Provide consultation, assessment, observation, treatment plan development, data collection, and analysis specific to identified target behaviors
Develop and implement an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) with the child and family; identifying and highlighting child, family, educational, social, and recreational strengths as well as areas in which the individual needs improvement
Provision of this service may include preference assessments, reinforcement, extinction, time-out strategies, or other rehabilitative activities as prescribed by a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist and referenced in the client’s ITP
Provide clinical supervision on an ongoing basis to BHTs assigned to their cases
Supervise an individual who provides BHT services, the individual shall receive an additional hour of face-to-face supervision per month that includes a discussion of the BHT services being provided
Thirty minutes of direct observation of services being provided every 6 months
One hour of supervision each week if the individual who provides BHT services works at least 37.5 hours per week or 1 hour of supervision twice a month if the individual who provides BHT services works less than 37.5 hours a week
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
As addressed in the IBHS service description, and stated in the BC Individual Services Training Manual, individuals who provide individual services through behavior consultation services must meet one of the following:
Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a behavior specialist
Have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis
Have a graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from a college or university
Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling
Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling
1 year of related experience and/or training is preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances
Possess knowledge of the basic principles of psychology and related behavioral sciences
Possess knowledge of mental disabilities, treatments, and social implications
Possess knowledge of psychological techniques, theories, and practices employed in the modification of human behavior
Possess leadership qualities
Excellent written and verbal skills
Language, mathematical, and reasoning ability skills
Organized and efficient
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Complete at least 16 hours of department-approved training annually that is related to specific job functions and is in accordance with the training plan
Travel up to 50% of the time
