Pathways offers a full spectrum of social service and behavioral health solutions, including Youth & Family Services, Adult Services, and Prevention Services. Within each area, clients have access to a broad range of social and behavioral services to meet their needs.

    Licensed $28.00/hr, Non-Licensed $26.00/hr

    SUMMARY

    The Mobile Therapist performs a variety of job duties under the supervision of the Clinical Director and recognizes clinical updates and recommendations from the written order. Mobile Therapists provide individual and collateral therapy to an individual between the ages of 24 months and twenty-one years. Mobile Therapist provides services in a setting outside the office setting. Therapy sessions may take place in the community or in the client’s school or home. The Mobile Therapist develops and implements an Individualized Treatment Plan (when the lead clinician) with the child and family, identifying and highlighting child, family, educational, social, and recreational strengths as well as areas in which the individual needs improvement. In certain situations, the MT supervises direct care staff.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provides individual and/or collateral therapy

    Develops individualized treatment plans.

    Provides support to parents, teachers, or community officials.

    Provides culturally aware and competent service provision.

    Provides clinical support to direct care staff.

    Teaches skills related to adaptive functioning using least restrictive methods.

    Coordinates clinical information/direction with other professionals and agencies.

    Exchanges information clearly and concisely with the appropriate parties and concerns.

    Completes all paperwork and documentation in accordance with established company policies and procedures and acceptable clinical practices within designated timeframes.

    Accepts cases and works within his/her own educational, training, and competency guidelines to ensure ethical and effective treatment delivery.

    Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines.

    An individual who provides mobile therapy services shall complete at least 16 hours of Department- approved training annually that is related to the individual's specific job functions and is in accordance with the individual training plan.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provide clinical supervision on an ongoing basis to BHT assigned to their cases.

    Supervises an individual who provides BHT services, the individual shall receive an additional hour of face-to-face supervision per month that includes a discussion of the BHT services being provided.

    Thirty minutes of direct observation of services being provided every 6 months.

    One hour of supervision each week if the individual who provides BHT services works at least 37.5 hours per week or 1 hour of supervision two times a month if the individual who provides BHT services works less than 37.5 hours a week.

    TRAVEL

    This position requires travel up to 50% of the time.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Individuals who provide individual services through mobile therapy services shall meet one of the following:

    Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist or clinical social worker.

    Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a social worker or a behavior specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum from a college or university.

    Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling from a college or university.

    Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree with a least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field.

    Must have PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Clearances

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    1 year related experience and/or training.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Language Skills

    Ability to develop, read and analyze treatment plans. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries regarding clients and/or families. Ability to document data and effectively consult with treatment team members both verbally and in writing. Ability to transfer skills to the care giver.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to understand and apply general math skills.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, implement effective intervention from the treatment plan and draw valid conclusions.

    ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

    Must possess the education and/or training and experience to provide therapy.

    Must possess the ability to analyze complex issues and solve them correctly and creatively.

    Must possess strong communication skills in both a verbal and written format.

    Must possess the ability to meet established deadlines and schedules.

    Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the clients and the clients family.

    Must be organized and efficient.

    Must possess leadership qualities.

    Must be able to demonstrate the ability to assign directives responsibly in a clear, concise manner.

    Must be able to implement corrective action relating to the various work situations when appropriate.

    Must continually review the treatment plan with families to ensure progress is occurring.
