We are looking for an amazing REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT to join our ONTARIO practice! Please have experience in the dental field. Previous pediatric dental office experience would be helpful. The high priority candidate will have a great attitude and be a multi-tasker with a strong work ethic. Dentrix knowledge is plus. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE DENTAL EXPERIENCE.
RDA JOB DUTIES:
Set up treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring that treatment rooms are always stocked.
Escort patients to treatment rooms, showing care and concern to help patients feel comfortable at every stage of treatment.
Obtain and review health histories according to office protocol.
Take patient blood pressure.
Ensure patients' questions are answered thoroughly.
Take and develop necessary pre/post-op x-rays for treatment and for insurance.
Administer sedation for patients.
Run suction cleaner.
Provide patients with pre/post OP instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures.
Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling).
Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
Polish patients' teeth, giving fluoride treatments and administering topical medications.
Perform coronal polishing and dental sealants.
Ensure proper treatment notes are recorded in patients' charts.

Strong attention to detail.
Clean, neat professional appearance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
X-Ray license required.
Compliance with state dental practice requirements (i.e., X-ray requirements, OSHA training).
Knowledge of Dentrix.
Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred.
Must be available to work on Saturdays
