Job Summary:
Responsible for coordination of patient care in the perioperative environment. Manages staff members in the Preoperative Unit. Consults with staff, physicians and Surgical Services Director on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital and unit policies and procedures to ensure patient needs are met. Actively participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Formulates budget for the Preoperative Unit.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Masters of Nursing preferred
Licensure: Current California Registered Nurse licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) card, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card, CNOR preferred
Minimum Experience: Four (4) years perioperative nursing experience, two (2) years perioperative management experience
