    Do you love the arts and working with children? Are you looking for a fun and rewarding part-time job? Come join our team at Kidcreate Studio!

    Kidcreate Studio is an art studio just for children. We teach classes, camps and birthday parties in our studio locations in Dana Point and Aliso Viejo and throughout the South Orange County community.

    We are currently looking for someone to fill a part-time lead teacher role. The schedule would be based on the candidate's availability and our current needs in the following areas:

    After School Classes in our mobile program (Monday-Thursday afernoons)

    Birthday Parties (Saturdays and Sundays)

    The immediate schedule would be 11-16 hour per week with more hours available for a candidate who learns and contributes quickly. We are looking for lead teachers who can grow with us!

    Whether you are a teacher, studying to be a teacher, or just great working with groups of kids and interested in art, our studio is a great job for those who enjoy variety in their work and love introducing children to the wonderful world of art!

    What you'll do

    Prepare for classes and parties using provided curriculum.

    Lead classes and parties for children ages 3-11

    Utilize your teaching talents to manage a classroom of 10-24 students, large classes will generally have an assistant.

    Interact with parents and caregivers.

    Clean up your classroom with provided cleaning supplies.

    Maintain materials and supplies.

    What is required

    Availablity at for at least:

    Mondays

    Wednesday Afternoons

    Most Weekends

    Start date no later than August 31

    Must be 21 years or older

    Willing to submit to a DOJ/FBI background check

    Valid drivers license, auto insurance and reliable transportation

    Able to lift and carry 10-20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally

    Flexible availability and comfortable with part-time hours that vary from week to week

    Experience working with groups of preschool and/or elementary aged children

    Who we're looking for

    Candidates who have experience working with children in groups

    Passion for working with kids

    Enthusiastic, patient, and outgoing personalities

    College education a plus (graduates or in progress)

    Reliability

    Strong interest in arts and crafts - our curriculum is easy to follow and you don't have to be a master artist. We're looking for someone who enjoys the process and helps children have fun and feel accomplished.

    Comfortable working in various environments - different classrooms, outdoor areas, and lunchrooms are typical for our after school programs.
