    TJ's Chimney Service & Fireplaces is searching for an Outside Sales Consultant to join our team! This is an inspector/sweep/estimator position! You will resolve customer questions and issues, offer solutions, and/or help build their dream fireplace masterpiece.

TJ's Chimney Service & Fireplaces provides homeowners with top-of-the-line Fireplace, Venting, and Chimney solutions. We help customers who are looking to simply update the look and feel of their living room space with a complete fireplace facelift, to a fireplace/chimney inspection ensure that their system is safe for use, or to exterior chimney structure issues.

    Candidates must:

    Be comfortable with heights; position will include climbing ladders and being on roofs

    Must have a valid Driver's License in good standing the last 3 years

    Be comforable getting dirty and being in tight spaces during inspections

    Display high levels of integrity in all situations

    Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields

    Be someone who is coachable with high levels of responsibility

    Have a history of a strong work ethic

    Be able to follow a proven no-pressure sales process

    Have a history of being goal-driven to achieve personal satisfaction

    Have excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop rapport with customers

    Have the ability to learn and retain product knowledge

    Be able to translate company vision and financial goals into results on a deadlines

    Have impeccable problem-solving skills

    Patience to deal with customer issues and calls that do not end in a sale

    Be motivated to serve clients and help them with their needs

    Be a self-starter who is comfortable working with little to no direction

    Consultant Responsibilities:

    Complete Inspections and estimates which could including sweeping the chimney (can’t give an estimate or solution if you can’t see the problem)

    Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers

    Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts

    Submits estimates for client approval by referring to price lists and product literature.

    Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline

    Set follow-up appointments

    Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

    Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and developing recommended solutions with management.

    Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

    Communicate with office, crews, and project manager regarding new and current projects

    Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to address their needs

    Physical endurance, as consultants may need to be on their feet for long hours, spend a lot of time traveling between locations, climbing ladders, and carrying heavy products

    Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers

    Any of the following are a PLUS but not required:

    3+ year of sales experience preferred

    Experience with in-home sales is a plus
