Job Summary
As the Chimney Sweep Apprentice , you’ll be learning hands-on the ins-and-outs of sweeping and restoring chimneys, cleaning and repairing wood and pellet stoves; all alongside our veteran Journeyman Chimney Sweep. You will travel across Lane County and beyond, maintaining both heat and ambiance to our client’s homes. With this hire, we are looking for our next Journeyman Chimney Sweep.
Responsibilities
Assist in the sweeping, restoration of chimneys, cleaning and repairing wood and pellet stoves
Independently carry out tasks assigned by the Journeyman Chimney Sweep
Learning proper sweep practices, regulations, building codes, and industry standards
Collaborating with the Journeyman Chimney Sweep to ensure high quality service that keeps the client's product in top shape
Record detailed information regarding jobs and their status
Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in working condition
Various warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading product
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid Drivers license and good driving record
Proficient with measuring tools
Having good people skills
Experience with impact drivers, drills, saws, and various tooling
Be able to pass an illegal drug and background test
Additional Notes
This position is for those who like working with their hands and are ok with hard, physical labor. This position is not recommended for those with claustrophobia or acrophobia.
