Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Chimney Technician / Mason to join our growing team. In this role, you will travel to residential job sites in a company vehicle to perform chimney services including inspections, chimney sweeping, masonry repairs, repointing, crown work, and structural chimney restoration. Your work plays an important role in ensuring chimney systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while helping homeowners properly maintain their fireplaces and chimneys.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, eager to learn, comfortable interacting with homeowners, and takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship and professional service.
Responsibilities
Travel to residential job sites to perform chimney maintenance, inspections, and masonry work
Clean and service chimney systems to ensure proper operation and safety
Construct, rebuild, repair, and restore chimneys, fireplaces, and masonry structures
Perform chimney repointing, crown construction, rebuilds, and masonry repairs
Work with brick, block, stone, mortar, and related materials
Safely operate hand tools and power tools used in chimney and masonry work
Set forms and assist with concrete work and crown finishing
Evaluate job conditions and assist with measuring materials and project scope
Educate homeowners on proper chimney maintenance and long-term care
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to company quality standards
Follow industry safety practices and company procedures at all times
Qualifications
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Experience in chimney service, masonry, construction, or related trade preferred
Ability to work on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor environments
1–3 years of experience preferred in chimney service, masonry, construction, or a related trade
