Descriptive Title: Non-Animal Area Support Technician

Job Summary

Assist caregivers with the cleaning, organizing, and restocking of supplies for the chimpanzees.

Duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning Duties:

· Clean enrichment devices and areas, including enrichment laundry

· Clean and sanitize freezers and kitchens

· Wash produce buckets

· Maintain clean storage areas

· Sweep and mop floors in non-chimp areas, including Clinic Floors

· Wash med bottles

Other Duties:

· Chop and weigh produce

· Store perishable produce items

· Restock bedding and chow

· Assist with preparing diets

· Update Med bottles and med trays

· Restock pharmacy refrigerators

· Restock chemical bottles

Education & Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions and write legibly and accurately.

· No prior animal experience required, but interest and caring for the wellbeing of animals preferred.

· Relevant vaccinations are required (MMR and COVID).

· Must be able to routinely lift and carry 50 lbs for short distances.

· Safety training, equipment, clothing, and supplies will be provided.
