Chipton-Ross is seeking a Buyer/Procurement Analyst for an opening in Lexington, KY.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops subcontract work statements and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for the Rotary Wing Program. Prepares bid packages, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Purchasing Experience

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel Experience working with cross-functional teams Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Working knowledge of DoD Acquisition Procedures Experience with FAR/DFARs requirements Technical Aptitude and ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and bill of materials Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes Experience with SAP or similar ERP system Understanding of Configuration Management requirements/processes/procedures Experience in supplier quality and special processes (first article inspection, part marking, receiving inspection)

EDUCATION:

Accredited Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
