POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Company is looking for a dynamic individual to head the Group Tax function, under the supervision of the Director of Business Administration. The individual must be organized, self-starter and able to work independently. This position is located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Some international traveling required.
The Sr. Tax Manager will be will be responsible for:
Global Tax Planning (direct, indirect taxes, transfer pricing), special projects, tax consolidation and reporting;
Ensuring tax compliance and filing for all taxes globally (Latam, EU and US)
Supervise the preparation of tax provisions
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of reporting tools for tax purposes
Provide expertise and support in all aspects of the tax field including analysis and interpretation of tax laws and regulations, communication to the rest of the tax team of tax law changes or developments
Deferred tax management and effective tax rate monitoring, tax losses management
Manage and support day-to-day tax affairs
Monitoring and minimizing tax risks & controversy globally:
Understand and consistently monitor all tax risks;
Support the Director of Business Administration in relationship with local tax authorities (Government relations)
Group Tax Responsibilities:
Responsible to ensure Global BEPS compliance (including preparation of country-by-country reporting)
In charge of the coordination of the local transfer pricing reports globally
Under the supervision of the Director of Business Administration, manage tax contingency issues, judicial and administrative suits, administrative defenses, consulting, contracts and agreements, licenses
Staff management:
Lead the tax department in Latam (9 team members), Europe (2 team members) and US ( 1 team members). Direct supervision of the US Tax Manager, Latam Tax Manager and EU Tax Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
10 or more years’ experience with federal, state and international tax planning and compliance experience
Significant tax accounting experience in multi-national environment
In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting pronouncements
Strong knowledge of corporate income tax laws and administration
Excellent communications skills – able to communicate with all levels of management
Team-oriented, motivated and professional
CPA or JD preferred. LLM or MBA a plus
