Chiropractic therapy assistants work directly alongside the chiropractor. This job involved a hands-on direct approach with the patient, by assisting with physiotherapy, as well as work collaboratively with other medical physicians.
Essential Job Duties:
- Learning / Performing / Educating patients on physiotherapy.
- Initial patient intake and taking detailed history / entering new patient notes into EMR.
- Ability to answer phone and learn scheduling system to help as needed.
- Taking inventory, ordering products, and putting away – keeping closets organized. Regular cleaning of the office.
- Assisting with patient flow as needed.
- Assist with clerical duties of front desk when needed.
Requirement Traits:
- Reliability, multitasker, good listener, good communication skills, people oriented.
- English required.
- Additional Spanish speaking a plus!
Working Environment:
- Standard use of office equipment. i.e. with phones, faxes, computers.
- Learning and performing use of medical equipment.
- This is a physical role. Be able to move / lift patients if necessary. Able to be on feet assisting doctor / patients.
- Be able to communicate to patients and or doctor in person and over the phone.
- Be able to visually to understand patient charts.
- Be able to listen and hear the doctor and or patients in person or over the phone.
