Chivari, a leading supplier of event furniture and accessories, is expanding across the country. Our operations team is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Traffic Manager to join our team to help us manage inbound and outbound freight. The Traffic Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating the logistics and transportation of our products, ensuring timely delivery to our customers and cost-effective management of freight providers.
Location: Hialeah, FL 33010 Schedule: Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
Negotiate shipping rates with all carriers, domestic and international
Supervise and maintain communication with all carriers
Create and maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments
Create/Maintain policy and administer all damage, credit and other claims with all carriers
Provide traffic reporting and statistics to all departments and senior management
Create routing policies to be used when determining the ship method of outbound orders
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness, including verifying product quantities, condition, and packaging.
Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, including delays, damages, or missing items, working closely with internal teams and external partners to find solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the logistics and transportation process, implementing process improvements and best practices as needed.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Bachelors degree preferred.
Strong organizational and negotiating skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
