You have a keen desire to solve business problems, and love to find patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data. You propose analytic strategies and solutions that challenge and expand the thinking of everyone around you.

    You are highly skilled in data science with a strong track record of driving software technology and product innovation through the creative use of data, data science tools, and techniques to produce business value. You have experience in creating and deploying successful machine learning, natural language and deep learning models/systems in the context of real-world problems.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    You will join an existing team at a large technology client with a goal of creating and deploying innovative customer support capabilities across a number of data science, analytic and AI disciplines.

    Typical activities included in your daily work will include the following:

    • Helping clients ideate new innovative new data science capabilities in the Technical Support and Customer Experience (CX) domains
    • Collaborating with clients and project managers to translate roadmaps and concepts into concrete plans and solutions
    • Data collection, cleaning, and transformation
    • Model building pipeline including feature generation, feature selection, model tuning, and model evaluation
    • Communicating findings with clients and internal teams
    • Collaborating with internal IT teams to transfer knowledge and processes into production environments
    • Develop proof-of-concept applications to test new data science capabilities and get feedback
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     

    • MS in quantitative field such as operations research, applied statistics, data mining, physics or related quantitative discipline
    • Preferred - PhD. in fields similar to above
    • Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, clustering and classification techniques
    • Experience using SQL/relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, etc.)
    • Experience using scripting languages for data prep, analysis and machine learning
    • Hands on experience working with large datasets/data warehouses using data mining, modeling tools and languages (SQL, R, Python, SAS, etc.)
    • Experience doing data science work in a large corporate environment (Fortune 50 preferred)
    • Experience with front-end and back-end software development (some software engineering background preferred)
    • Experience with managing a small engineering team (preferably data scientists)
