    Our client, a NYC consumer goods company, creates blockbuster products targeted at millennials—and everyone else—that blend stylish form with clever functionality: think electronics, home goods, personal care, lifestyle accessories, etc and note, they are sold in thousands of stores and websites around the world.

    Who You Are- a creator, a designer, a big thinker and a doer!

    • 3+ years of experience in product design role at a tech, product or design-driven company- You define yourself as an ideator and understands what your retailer wants you to conceptualize. MUST have experience with HARD GOODS.
    • Strong in both visual design and user experience
    • Comfortable collaborating on product requirements
    • User-centered, you keep the conversation focused around the users needs, motivations, pain points, feedback, etc.
    • You are hungry for more information to improve your understanding of the user
    • Data curious, experience using data to drive decisions a plus
    • Good communication skills, able to articulate design work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders
    • Iterative and open-minded, willing to receive feedback to produce the best work possible

    Responsibilities

    • Understand desires of client and create attractive & innovative new products
    • Work closely with product managers and other teams (sales and marketing) to establish plan for product release
    • Acknowledge budget and make plans in order to follow financial guidelines
    • Create product prototypes prior to creating final product
    • Adjust approach towards designs based on feedback provided

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 2 - 5 years experience in product design or related field
    • Great communication skills to be able to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making.
    • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a fast growing environment.
    • Strong eye for detail.
    • Great organizational skills.
    • Portfolio of work
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
