    Our client, a NYC-based consumer electronics company, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator. This person will be in the office full-time and will be responsible for gathering and providing critical information to facilitate the timely flow of goods from our overseas facilities to our customers. We expect the salary to be $50-60k based on experience. 

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review & check all shipping documents for accuracy
    • Proactively monitor and follow-up on shipment status
    • Enter all Direct Imports, MDDP and stock shipments into ERP system
    • Forward shipping documents to Customs Brokers
    • Track shipments with Freight Forwarders/Carriers for arrival information
    • Arrange to get Arrival Notices from Agents/Carriers & forward to our Customs Brokers for filing & clearance
    • Verify freight and local handling charges & submit to Accounts Payable for payment
    • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reporting as required
    • Arrange to send delivery orders to truckers & coordinate delivery with warehouses
    • Follow up on empty containers that need to be returned to the terminal
    • Work with warehouses to get receiving report and receive into ERP on a timely basis
    • Routing & managing of POE shipments
    • Respond to emails/calls from Production team for updates on containers/shipments
    • Must have knowledge of EDI
    • Entering Orders into ERP,
    • Inventory allocation and submit to warehouse for fulfillment
    • Routing of orders through customer portal
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Business preferred.
    • 3-5 years of relevant work experience within Import logistics.
    • Good understanding of shipping paperwork and international customs requirements, documentation, tax and duties.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, verbal and written
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft excel capable of manipulating large sets of data.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent time management skills.
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and a positive can-do attitude.
    • Preferred experience using the Amt ERP system
