    Accounts Receivables Specialist

    Objective: To provide financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of accounts.

    Essential Job Functions:

    o Maintain up-to-date billing system.

    o Generate and send out invoices.

    o Follow-up on, collect and allocate payments.

    o Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.

    o Perform account reconciliations.

    o Monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments and other irregularities.

    o Research and resolve payment discrepancies.

    o Generate age analysis.

    o Review AR aging to ensure compliance.

    o Maintain accounts receivables - customer files and records.

    o Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.

    o Process credit card payments.

    o Prepare bank deposits.

    o Investigate and resolve customer inquiries.

    o Process adjustments.

    o Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.

    o Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail, etc.

    o Assist with month-end closing.

    o Collect data and prepare monthly department reports assigned.

    o Protects organizational values by keeping information confidential.

    o Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

    o Perform other job tasks as assigned

    Qualifications:

    o Minimum 3 years experience in accounts receivables and general accounting.

    o Multiple business entities experience preferred.

    o Equivalent high school diploma, college degree preferred.

    o 10-key by touch.

    o Knowledge of mathematical principles, data entry skills.

    o Computer applications such as word processing, excel, Peachtree.

    o Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.

    o Attention to detail, accuracy, analyzing information.

    o Ability to multi-task.

    o Open to change and willing to learn new skills.

    o Ability to follow-up on pending issues.

    o Ability to meet deadlines.

    o Customer service techniques, practices and principles.

    o Ability to prioritize job assignments, Muti-Task.

    Education/Experience:

    o High School diploma/GED. Additional education highly desirable.

    o Minimum 3 years experience in an office environment specializing in clerical. Accounting clerical or administrative/business experience with a strong emphasis on communication.

    Salary Compensation Level:Commensurate with experience.
