    Job Description

    Dear Future Intern,

The Mighty Ducks. Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The 95-96 Chicago Bulls. Jim and Pam. Milk and cookies. The Jackson 5. Christian Brothers Automotive Marketing Department. What do these all have in common? These are all easily some of the most iconic teams of all time. And guess what? We have an opening with your name written all over it.

Christian Brothers Automotive is both a national brand and 160+ local small businesses. Our franchisees rely on the marketing team for guidance and input to successfully market in their communities. Our most important role is serving our franchisees and stewarding our brand. You’re going to be getting firsthand experience of what being part of a Marketing team really looks like. You’ll be collaborating with marketing specialists, working directly with the VP of Marketing, and you might even see the CEO walking around from time to time....BUT we know what you’re wondering, and, yes, this is paid!

Now that we got that out of the way, we can talk about the type of person that will fit well with the company culture. We’re looking for a well-rounded person with an appetite for learning, the initiative to bring their own ideas to the table, a can-do attitude, and the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. We understand you don’t know everything, and neither did we. It is an internship after all. That’s why we’re not interested in how long your list of achievements and awards is, if you have the highest GPA out there, or if you’re bound for the Ivy Leagues. What we do want is to cultivate your opportunity to learn and contribute to a “real world” environment. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, be ready to support the marketing team and our franchisees across the country in many ways including but not limited to:

    • System-wide brand audits

    • Collecting and analyzing data on marketing spend vs. sales

    • Researching and contacting possible vendors for different company programs

    • Gathering information for content creation

    • Supporting the Marketing Manager for annual service day planning

    • Creating a project for yourself that will carry significant contribution to the company

    • Progressing the development of a potential scholarship program

    • Assisting supervisors with projects that may/may not include leaving the office

    • Taking the lead in execution of various assignments

    • Facilitate the implementation of nerf gun war tactics
