JOB PURPOSE
The Payroll Manager Handles All Payroll Inquiries And Processes The Bi-weekly Payroll.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process bi-weekly payroll for Canada, USA, and the United Kingdom.
Audit all payroll changes for accuracy: Salary changes, W4 changes, Direct
Deposit changes etc.
Audit and approve enterprise-wide bi-weekly timesheets.
Responsible to ensure that PTO entitlement balances are maintained accurately.
Approves all PTO requests.
Administer all aspects of court order payments.
Generates Payroll Reports as per management requirements.
Ensure employee tax documents are issued by annual deadline.
PROCESS BI-WEEKLY PAYROLL FOR CANADA, USA, AND THE UNITED KINGDOM
- Maintains bi-weekly payroll by entering pay-rate changes, direct deposit, tax, role changes, and other changes including commissions, retro-payments, and bonuses.
- Submit completed payroll to CHRO for final audit and submission to Chief Tax and Compliance Officer for final commitment.
- UK payroll sent to CHRO for final audit and submission to Accounting Manager with all payroll details and reports for payroll wire transfer.
- AUDIT ALL PAYROLL CHANGES FOR ACCURACY: SALARY, W4 & DIRECT DEPOSIT
- Verify/audit payroll records, by reviewing all approved changes, including job titles, and department/division transfers, increases, benefit changes, direct deposit information, etc. to ensure accuracy of employee payroll records
- Complete all location balance spreadsheets, ensuring that the balance spreadsheet reconciles with the DayForce location Payroll Registers.
- AUDIT AND APPROVE ENTERPRISE-WIDE BI-WEEKLY TIMESHEETS
- Perform audits of timesheets and identify any irregularities or missed punches.
- Email staff and reporting manager of timesheet irregularities.
- Make necessary corrections to timesheets.
- RESPONSIBLE TO ENSURE THAT PTO BALANCES ARE MAINTAINED ACCURATELY
- Update PTO balances for a new hire, new entitlement, and staff termination and ensure compliance.
- Fourth-quarter PTO balance update distributed to Managers to ensure PTO is consumed before year-end.
- Provides balance status relating to time off, holidays, and other absences.
- Annually publishes dates of paid holidays for each country to be entered into Dayforce and distributed for company intranet posting.
- APPROVES ALL PTO REQUEST
- Responsible for approval of all PTO requests.
- Sends email to employee’s manager advising of the pending PTO approval.
- ADMINISTER ALL ASPECTS OF COURT ORDER PAYMENTS
- Execute and respond as necessary to court order garnishments to ensure compliance. ∙ Responsible for activation of garnishments and support payments directly into payroll system. ∙ Ensure support payments are paid to proper agency via bi-weekly payroll.
- Process termination orders and/or cease orders as necessary.
- GENERATES REPORTS FOR MANAGEMENT
- Provides various Reports to support KPI data and various management report requests.
- ENSURE ANNUAL EMPLOYEE TAX DOCUMENTS ARE ISSUED BY ANNUAL DEADLINE
- Announce when W-2s are available for employee access.
- Follow the Ceridian process to create annual T-4s and other government-required documents.
- Complete and issue T-2200s as approved by Management
