We’re seeking a sharp legal assistant for our busy, small law firm who is comfortable performing intake with potential clients, scheduling, and deadline tracking. Our primary practice areas are estate planning, probate, and real estate. You’ll work with our attorney and paralegal to prepare legal documents, respond to emails and phone calls, schedule meetings, and track deadlines. Responsibilities: • Perform new client intake to determine whether we can assist, and if not, refer them to other resources when possible • Enter client information in our practice management software (Clio) • Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks • Schedule client meetings and confirm upcoming appointments • Solicit online reviews after a matter is completed • Document internal procedures so we can share knowledge within our firm • Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently Qualifications: • Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times • Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products • 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant • Some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required Compensation: $61,000
