Cambridge International Systems has an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our Military Sealift Command (MSC) IT Support Services team in both downtown Norfolk and Naval Station Norfolk. Qualified candidates must possess an active Secret clearance, and experience with NAVY/MSC-specific IT systems is highly desired.

The Enterprise Architect will provide the technical leadership and direction necessary in implementing DoD-related enterprise information/data management practices in support of NAVY’s MSC mission. More specifically, the Enterprise Architect is expected to be adaptable and work constructively with a technically diverse team.  The most primary role for the chosen Enterprise Architect (EA) will be to bridge the gap between our engineering teams and MSC’s C4 (Command, Control, Communications, and Computer) directorate, serving a critical role in defining the appropriate “to be” state for current MSC Afloat IT Networks and Systems.

The ideal EA candidate will support the MSC program by aligning MSC IT strategy, technology and business processes:

    • Leading and engaging in information/data management enhancement projects including: Enterprise Information Architecture, information models and process flows, data dictionaries, data standards, and data quality standards and processes.
    • Authoring and maintaining a logical Enterprise Information Architecture improvement plan (from “as is” to “to be”) that envisions seamless information interoperability of systems – from transaction systems, document management systems and information delivery systems.
    • Authoring and maintaining POA&Ms, Change Management Plans, White Papers, Analyses of Alternatives, Process Flows, Data Management Flows, and other AE-related documentation.
    • Working closely with various Program Managers (in both Government and Industry) and Engineers to identify and recommend process improvements related to existing MSC Afloat systems (i.e., lifecycle management, quality analyses, cost improvement, acquisition improvement).
