We are looking for a tax preparation intern to join our West Metro CPA Firm from early February through mid-April as a paid intern! Responsibilities: - Informing clients about the tax preparation process - Collecting relevant financial records, including W-2's, 1099's, and other tax forms and data - Emailing clients for missing information - Inputting data from tax records into tax return software ( Creative Solutions Ultratax) - Using applicable federal and state law to determine income, deductions and credits - Reviewing returns after preparation to clear diagnostics and analyze the changes from the prior year for errors or omissions prior to submission for owner review. Qualifications: - Accounting, tax or business majors preferred - Tax preparation experience desirable but not required - Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) - Detail and deadline-oriented - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
