Training and Development Specialist
SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing and facilitating training programs to enhance CGRC's Team Member development, retention, engagement, performance, and guest services strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all times.
Delivers training using appropriate delivery methods, including in the areas of/but not limited to; food safety, alcohol service safety, general safety, leadership, and orientation.
Develops and designs training classes and programs.
Develops a variety of assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training classes and programs.
Develops, prepares, and distributes training aids such as, instructor manuals, instructional materials, handouts, and evaluation forms.
Assists the scheduling of all Team Members and instructors for designated departments and coordinates assignments with department staff.
Assists with the maintenance of current and accurate records of training completion in the learning management system for Team Members.
May assist &/or provide temporary coverage to other specialty areas in HR (benefits, recruiting, team relations, or administration).
Performs any reasonable request made by management including assisting in CGRC external and internal events.
Assists in Team Member engagement events and activities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent of 5 years related work experience required. Related work experience should be in training, education, adult career development or management.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Attention to detail required, as well as excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary to produce and deliver quality training programs. Must be able to clearly explain and demonstrate concepts and skills to others. Must be proficient in Outlook, Windows, PowerPoint, Word, some experience in Excel preferred. Ability to learn new software and use new software in the development of training modules. Must be able to communicate professionally with all levels of management.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, Team Members, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. The Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The Team Member is occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Team Member will occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the Casino floor the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor, the Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment. Training takes place in a climate controlled office environment but is not limited to that environment and may be conducted on the casino floor and in behind-the-scenes areas of the operation.
