JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for evaluating need for major replacements of furniture and fixtures, repairs and cleaning; and performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, cleaning upholstery and other specialized cleaning of the hotel guest rooms and areas. Responsible for expediting the room cleaning process by stripping linens and removing glasses for washing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Stores folded clean linens, towels and sheets in appropriate areas.
Helps expedite room preparation for next guest by stripping linens and placing them outside guest room for pickup.
Picks up linens outside dirty rooms, puts in laundry cart, and takes to laundry room..
Removes room glasses and cups for washing to dishwashing area and returns them clean to the rooms.
Adjusts and performs minor repairs to cleaning equipment.
Sorts laundry in laundry room.
Provides extra towels, sheets, pillows and /or rollaway to guest room upon the request of the front desk.
Notifies managers concerning the need for major repairs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of two years experience cleaning carpets. Must have working knowledge of upholstery, carpet and floor cleaning equipment and tools.
Must be familiar with mixing cleaning solutions and chemicals used in the cleaning process. Must have no allergies to cleaning agents.
Must be able to successfully complete the Operators Safety Training Course for Counter Balance Sit-Down Rider Forklift and Electric Walkie Pallet Jack.
